How does statement scanning work?
Choose a statement from your bank or card. It can be a PDF, a CSV file or a screenshot. You can add up to 3 files in one scan. Each file can be up to 10 MB.
The app sends the file to my server over an encrypted connection. AI from OpenAI reads the transactions. The app then finds your subscriptions on your iPhone, and you choose which ones to add. The file is not stored, and it is never used to train AI.
Your first scan is free. Pro and Family include one scan a month. If a file can’t be read, it isn’t counted. AI can make mistakes, so please check the list before you add it.
My PDF won’t open
If the PDF has a password, download a copy without one from your bank’s website. Statements can have up to 12 pages. CSV files work best saved as UTF-8.
How do I cancel my subscription to the app?
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap your name, then tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Alan: Subscription Tracker, then tap Cancel Subscription.
Cancel at least 24 hours before it renews. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel your subscription.
Can the app cancel my other subscriptions?
No. The app only keeps track of them. Open a subscription and tap How to cancel to search the web for steps. Once you have cancelled, tap Mark as cancelled to see what you save.
How do I restore my purchases?
Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. In the app, open Settings and tap Restore purchases. For a Family plan or Lifetime shared through Family Sharing, the person who bought it needs Family Sharing turned on.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles payments, so refunds are through Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I delete my account and data?
In the app, open Settings, then Account, then Delete account. This deletes your account and scan records from my server, removes Sign in with Apple, and clears what the app remembers from past scans on your iPhone.
Your subscriptions on your iPhone stay. To remove them too, delete them in the app or delete the app. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel an App Store subscription. You can also email me and I will delete your account for you.
